Friday Nov. 18th. 9h15-10h45

The 4 zoom rooms from the week will work as meeting rooms for discussions:
Ostrom ;
Meadows ;
Margulis and
Gaia.

And Trondheim will be running a World cafe discussion with 25 participants — already set and nicely prepared.

Chairpersons, Speakers and co-authors join their respective zoom rooms; meaning you join the room where you were Chairperson, Speaker or co-author (if you have several choices please choose your favorite room :) ).

Each room will be coordinated by a small core group, as follows :
Ostrom core group in Plymouth: Winnie, Rachel, Richard ;
Meadows core group "in" Siena : Bethany, Cristina, Quino and Cristinita :)
Margulis core group "in" Menorca): Salud, Eva, Maria and Montse;
Gaia core group in Plouzané): Ika, Juan, Joelle, Denis and Christophe.
In Trondheim, we have Bettie, Martin and Andy as a core group who will be running a World cafe discussion with 25 participants — already set and nicely prepared.

In each of the 4 Rooms, participants will be split into smaller groups using zoom’s Breakout Rooms function.

In the smaller groups we go for the same 3+1 questions, with one Pad per group, collectively managed & with a 777-word limit with, as an option: an image, a quote and a metaphor.

Questions for All groups.

. In the UN Treaty, what approaches do we want to see for eliminating plastic pollution, keeping in mind the entire plastic production to post-consumer chain? What approaches must be avoided?

. What do we consider as key evidence we in the MICRO community can provide to support the UN Treaty negotiations? What is most important for policy makers to understand about plastics and plastic pollution?

. If the intention is to stop plastic pollution, what are the implications for plastic research moving forward? And how can our research contribute to assessing the effectiveness of policies & approaches to eliminate plastic pollution?

And to close the small group question-focused discussions, the +1 question:
. Any images, quotes or metaphors you wish to add, to represent your thoughts?

9h15-9h30 :
The Core Group in each room explains the activity & uses zoom Breakout Rooms to divide participants into small groups. Each small group decides who will be their moderator/s.
9h30-10h15 :
Each group works as they wish through the 3 +1 questions, documenting their inputs on a Pad (with a word limit of 777 words with, as an option: an image, a quote and a metaphor.
10h15-10h45 :
The small groups reconvene in their Room to briefly share key points from their discussions, adjusting their Pads as they wish along the way.
