The Plastiverse, an ecosystem of software, data, and tools for accelerating the plastic pollution research community

, Cowger Win, Coffin Scott.

The plastic pollution research community is collaborative and prioritizes open science and access to their research and research products. The Plastiverse was created as a one-stop-shop for unifying the online resources for researchers and connecting researchers to each other. Living evidence products like this are critical for evidence based decision-making on plastic pollution. The Plastiverse is on the web currently hosted at [http://plastiverse.org](http://plastiverse.org/) and the broader vision for the Plastiverse is an ecosystem of connected tools including the Microplastics Data Portal, ToMEx, Open Specy, Trash Taxonomy, and others. We will lay out this vision during this presentation, seek feedback from the audience, and are looking for researchers who would be interested in collaborating with us to see it to fruition.
